About Makeup by mik

Hi I'm Mik, the face behind Makeup by Mik. I'm 20 years old and have always loved all things hair and makeup. I am currently specialising in event makeup and editorial makeup, but I also cover a range of different briefs including but not limited to - wig styling, special effects, facial hair application, bald caps and prop making.  I am a student studying at the Australian Academy of Cinemagraphic Makeup, completing a Diploma of Screen and Media in Specialised Makeup Services. 

My Mission

My mission is to empower people to feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. I believe that everyone deserves to feel good about themselves, no matter their age, gender, or skin type. Everyone who leaves my studio I want them to be feeling confident and loving what they are seeing. This is more than just a business to me, its a passion that I want to take to the next level.

 Welcome to my makeup studio! I specialize in event makeup—whether it's for a night out, a formal gathering, bridal glam, or debutante ball. My mission goes beyond just creating beautiful looks—it's about making you feel comfortable, confident, and absolutely in love with how you look. This isn't just a business or a side hustle to me; it's my passion. My goal is to build a community where like-minded individuals can connect, share their stories, and support one another in feeling their best. Let's create something beautiful together!

Editorial makeup we can create something unique, glowy and different. Bringing your ideas to life whether it's for a campaign shoot for a brand, or professional photos for your own portfolio the ideas are endless. As pictured below is hair and makeup completed by Makeup by Mik for a GUESS campaign shoot.

HAIR STYLING

Hair styling tailored to you, from soft, bouncy curls created with a curling wand to beautifully finished looks that suit your style. I also offer upstyling options, whether you’re after an elegant half-up, half-down twist or a striking bun or ponytail.


Makeup by Mik also specialises in naturally curly hair.
